What makes Pro Music Tutors different from other online tuition sites?
Pro Music Tutors differs from other tuition websites in that we only employ tutors who actively work in the music industry with major label artists. We believe that in order to get a head start in the music industry it helps to learn from someone who has successfully navigated the industry and has managed to turn their passion into a career. Not only are our tutors highly experienced in their field, we also require that they all hold a degree level qualification in music, so you can be sure that they will be able to answer any questions you may have.
How do I take lessons online?
In order to take online lessons you will need a good internet connection, a web cam, preferably a desktop computer, however we are able to make tablets and phones work if that is all you have available. All our teachers use Skype as the preferred method of communication, as it is easier to send documents and converse with students. Please do let us know if this will be an issue and we will try our best to accommodate you.
Once you have chosen your preferred tutor, a time will be organized that works for both parties and you will be given your tutor's Skype handle so that you can connect. Depending on the lesson plan, a PDF may be sent to you prior to the lesson in which case we recommend printing this off beforehand so you can follow it with your teacher.

Can I have a lesson in-person?
Our tutors all currently serve the greater Los Angeles area, so if you are based within our area you can have an in person lesson. Each tutor has a different set up, so there may be the option to come to the tutor's studio, or alternatively the tutor can come to your home (travel expenses apply).

How much are lessons?
Lesson prices vary depending on teacher, whether they are online or in person and how many lessons you purchase. We are currently offering discounts on blocks of 5 or more. Please reach out to us via our contact page and we will be happy to provide you with a quote.
What if my tutor is unavailable?
All of our tutors strive to be available whenever possible; however, due to them being highly in demand session musicians, there may be instances where they are unavailable. In the event that your tutor is unavailable, you can use your lesson credits towards another tutor, or simply hold onto them until your tutor is available again. Pre-purchased lesson credits never expire, so if you need to take a break just let us know and you can resume whenever you are ready.
